Anthurium veitchii - King Anthurium

Anthurium veitchii is also called "King Anthurium," and for good reason - its elongated, ruffled leaves grow to mammoth proportions. On a mature plant, each heart-shaped leaf can grow over 3ft long! New leaves emerge a lustrous copper color and eventually darken to shiny dark green with bright veins, textured from top to bottom.

At our flagship store, our Anthurium veitchii in a wavy terracotta planter is a showstopping shop plant. We wanted to let you have a piece of Pistils at home with this pre-planted King Anthurium in a handmade wavy terrracotta planter! The wavy shape of the unglazed pot perfectly complements the ruffled texture of the mature plant's leaves.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Medium to bright, indirect light. Direct morning sun is okay.
• Water: Water thoroughly when the top half of soil dries out
• Considerations: Protect this plant from drafts from heating vents and cold outside air. If you choose to repot after the plant's acclimation period, use a coarse soil mix. Aroid Mix or Orchid Mix would suit this plant well.
